SITRANS consortium met in Sardinia

The SITRANS consortium was hosted by the partner Laore in Sardinia, for the 2nd Project Meeting.

The SITRANS consortium was hosted by the partner Laore in Sardinia, for the 2nd Project Meeting.

On that occasion, the partners had the chance to discuss the project’s perspectives and expected results to promote a smooth energy transition in coal regions.

The 1st Day was dedicated to discussing project implementation and the role that the Support of the LIFE Clean Energy Transition sub-programme will offer to SITRANS.

On the 2nd day, the partners had the chance to visit the coal power plant of Fiume Santo, understanding the impact that such energy production has on the territory and the added values connected to its reconversion.

On the last day, the hosting organisation organised a conference on “Energy Transition: comparison between different regional models of energy Transition and the Role of the SITRANS project”. Many local stakeholders participated sharing their experiences, best practices and expectations in relation to the benefits that the SITRANS project can bring to their context.
