The SITRANS project will be featured at the XXXVII Zakopane Conference on “New Strategies and Investments in the Energy and Fuel Market in Poland and the EU,” taking place from October 20 to 23, 2024 in Zakopane, Poland. This annual conference brings together leading voices in the energy sector to explore the future of energy policies, investment strategies, and the path toward a sustainable energy transformation.
Poland is one of the demonstration sites for SITRANS, making it a significant platform to share the project’s advancements in energy transition. Olga Janikowska, a SITRANS project partner from Instytut Gospodarki Surowcami Mineralnymi i Energią PAN (MEERI PAS), will present two posters at the event, focusing on the social impacts of the energy transition and challenges in post-mining regions. These contributions highlight SITRANS’ role in addressing key issues that resonate across Europe, particularly in regions undergoing industrial transformation.
